Type of Institution: Public 2 -Year.
Degrees Available: DCCC offers 16 College and University Parallel Associate degree programs and 33 Career Education Associate Degree in Applied Science programs. Please visit our Web site for a complete listing of our degree and certificate programs. The degree programs to which Prior Learning Assessment credits have been applied include (but are not restricted to): Administration of Justice, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, Electronics Technology, General Studies, Health Care Management, and Technical Studies.
Forms of Credit Recognized: The Assessment Center awards credit through the evaluation of courses taken at regionally accredited institutions; proficiency examinations (AP, CLEP, DANTES-DSST); formal noncollegiate course work for which credit recommendations appear in the ACE CCRS, National PONSI, and ACE Military guides; National Certifications, e.g., MCSE; and state and nationally recognized Apprenticeship Programs. Up to 36 credits of a student's 60 credit degree requirements may be earned through any combination of these options. Credit can also be earned via our college Credit by Exam and Portfolio assessment options. Credits earned through Prior Learning Assessments must be applicable to the student's DCCC degree program, approved by the appropriate Academic Division Dean, and meet the college residency requirements.
Additional Information: DCCC has day, evening, weekend classes at sites in Delaware and Chester Counties; Distance Learning courses; a state approved day care center located on campus; and an Intensive Summer ESL Program.

Under "Degrees Available," the list of degree programs generally contains those  that are designed to accommodate working adults.

Under "Type of Institution," Comprehensive refers to an institution that offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
