Degrees Available:
Bachelor of Science degree with a major in administration, information technology, vehicle engineering design and information technology or an option in community development. Bachelor of Applied Arts degree with a major in administration. Bachelor of Science in Education (available only in Lansing and Traverse City, Michigan). Master of Arts degree in Counseling, with concentrations in school counseling and professional counseling. Master of Arts degree in Education with concentrations in adult education, community college, guidance and development, or instruction. Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology. Master of Arts degree in Humanities. Master of Arts degree in Reading and Literacy K-12. Master of Arts degree in School Principalship. Master of Public Administration degree. Professional Master of Business Administration degree. Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. Master of Science in Administration degree with concentrations in acquisitions administration, general administration, human resources administration, health services administration, international administration, information resource management, leadership, public administration, or vehicle design and manufacturing administration. Forms of Credit Recognized:
CLEP, ACE’s Military Guide, formal noncollegiate course work for which credit recommendations have been established by ACE CCRS and National PONSI, and individualized assessment of prior learning. Undergraduate students may receive up to 60 semester hours of Prior Learning Assessment Credit. An undergraduate student may apply not more than 94 semester hours of credit from any combination of the following courses: transfer credit, Prior Learning Assessment Credit, CLEP, the University’s Credit-by-Examination program, and United States Armed Forces Extended Degree Programs credit. For graduate students, at least 50% of the minimum required graduate credit hours for a given masters degree program must be earned at Central Michigan University.  Graduates may earn up to 10 hours maximum Prior Learning Assessment Credit. (Note:  California State Regulation, CA residents limited to six (6) hours of Prior Learning Credit.)
