Type of Institution: Public Comprehensive.
Degrees Available: Chicago State University offers three nontraditional degree programs in response to the growing need to make higher education more accessible to adults. These programs are (1) the Board of Governors Bachelor of Arts Degree Program (BOG) (BA), (2) the Individualized Curriculum Program (ICP) (BA/BS), and (3) the University Without Walls (UWW) (BA/BS). Students can earn a degree in the nontraditional degree programs concentrating in Behavior and Social Sciences, Business, Career Studies and Humanities.
Forms of Credit Recognized: The College awards credit based on the following measurements of noncollegiate learning: proficiency examinations (AP, CLEP); local department course challenge examinations; credit recommendations established by National PONSI for formal course work sponsored by business, industry and other noncollegiate organizations; credit recommendations for military training and experience established by ACE; and individualized assessment of prior learning.
Additional Information: The Division of Continuing Education and Nontraditional Degree Programs is responsible for academic advisement for all students in nontraditional degree programs, off-campus credit and experiential assessment credit. The Division of Continuing Education offers customized training programs on and off site to meet business and professional development needs. Child-care services are available on campus.

Under "Degrees Available," the list of degree programs generally contains those  that are designed to accommodate working adults.

Under "Type of Institution," Comprehensive refers to an institution that offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
