with concentrations in school counseling and professional counseling. Master
of Arts degree in Education with concentrations in adult education, guidance

Forms of Credit Recognized:
■ CLEP, ACE’s Military Guide,
formal noncollegiate course work for which credit recommendations have been
established by ACE CCRS and National PONSI, and individualized assessment of
prior learning.
■ Undergraduates may receive up to 60
semester hours of Prior Learning Assessment Credit.
■ An undergraduate student may apply not
more than 94 semester hours of credit from any combination of the following
courses: transfer credit, Prior Learning Assessment Credit, CLEP, the
University’s Credit-by-Examination program, and United States Armed Forces
Extended Degree Programs credit.
■ For graduate students, at least 50% of the
minimum required graduate credit hours for a given masters degree program
must be earned at Central Michigan University. Graduates may earn up to 10 hours maximum Prior
Learning Assessment Credit. (Note: California State Regulation, CA
residents limited to six (6) hours of Prior Learning Credit.)
