Type of Instruction: Private Comprehensive. Degrees Available: Associate of Arts in Business; Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, International Business, Management, Business with minors in Accounting, Administration of Justice, E-Business, Finance, Health Administration, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, International Business, Management, Marketing, Public Administration, or Supply Chain Management; Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science; Human Resources Management; Master of Arts in Innovative Leadership; Master of Business Administration in Finance, Information Technology, International Business, Management, Marketing; Master of Public Administration; Master of Science in Information Technology, Information Systems Engineering. Forms of Credit Recognized: Transfer credit and/or advanced placement may be awarded for successful completion of the following national program tests: DANTES (SST), CEEB, CLEP, and ACT/PEP. A maximum of 60 credits may be accepted toward a Bachelor's degree through a combination of credit by examination, military training, and portfolio assessment. Students with personal and professional experience that is equivalent to college-level learning may earn credits through the Assessment of Prior Learning (APL) Program. Examples of such learning include: credits from nationally accredited institutions, documentation of professional training courses, licenses and certificates earned, and essays relating to life experiences (30 credits maximum). Students must meet with an Academic Counselor and attend a Student Assessment Workshop. Additional Information: Western International University offers a traditional academic program that is specially designed to give the working adult learner the flexibility to complete degree programs within a time frame appropriate to their needs. Students can attend classes at Main Campus in Phoenix, East Valley Campus in Chandler, Scottsdale Campus, Peoria Campus or Ft. Huachuca Campus in Southern Arizona. WIU also has a unique online program - WIU Interactive Online- that allows students to attend class live via their computers or listen to recorded live sessions. A low faculty/student ratio provides for a close working relationship. Faculty are experienced practitioners who hold advanced degrees in their fields, in addition to bringing to the classroom significant global backgrounds and experience from the executive and entrepreneurial arenas of the business world. Students also come from large and small businesses, government organizations, and are from approximately 60 different countries. Comprehensive Student Services includes: Academic Advising, Computer laboratories, Learning Resource Center with extensive on-line collections and Internet access, Writing Center, International Program Office, and Financial Aid.
